Zalando surpasses Amazon! Become the " leader " of the Swiss e-commerce market!
According to the latest ranking of Swiss online stores released by consulting firm Carpathia , Zalando has become the leader of the Swiss e-commerce market with sales of 1.45 billion euros ( 1.43 billion Swiss francs) in 2021 , successfully surpassing Amazon.
In second place was Digitec , with sales of 1.2 billion euros ( 1.19 billion Swiss francs), also ahead of Amazon. Amazon is in third place, with sales in Switzerland of 848.7 million euros ( 840 million Swiss francs) in 2021 .
Data show that in 2021 , 10% of Zalando 's total sales will come from Switzerland, while the fashion retailer operates in 22 European countries. This means that Switzerland has become an important market for Zalando .
In terms of sales growth rankings, IKEA and Galaxus are the strongest, with IKEA's online sales in the Swiss market up 185% in 2021 compared to 2020 , Galaxus up 180% and H&M up 113.5% . It is worth noting that in the fashion field, only H&M made the top 15 on the list.
Overall, the top 30 Swiss online stores all saw an increase in retail sales. Only Aliexpress and Wish performed poorly and lost market share.

Recently, Lazada has issued two notices about adjustment of overseas warehouses, namely "Notice of Adjustment of Storage Fees of Lazada Overseas Warehouses" and "Notice of Adjustment of Shipping Price Cards of Lazada Overseas Warehouses".
According to the " Lazada Overseas Warehouse Storage Fee Adjustment Notice", the Lazada platform lowered the storage fees in Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.
The new price card will take effect on August 1 , 2022. From 00:00 on August 1 , regardless of the new or old stock, the warehouse fee on the new price card will be charged.
In addition, this adjustment does not affect the fee structure, and storage fees for warehouses less than 60 days old remain free.
According to the notice, the new version of warehousing costs has dropped significantly compared with the current warehousing costs. In order to maintain a healthy inventory, it is recommended that merchants designate an appropriate replenishment plan for store sales.
At the same time, it is recommended that merchants increase their promotion efforts for inventory older than 180 days.
The " Lazada Overseas Warehouse Shipping Price Card Adjustment Notice" shows that Lazada has lowered the shipping price card for some countries. This adjustment applies to merchants who use official LCL and FCL to overseas warehouses in the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
Among them, in terms of LCL card fees, the Philippines was adjusted from 7,500 to 6,100 , a price reduction of 19%; Thailand was adjusted from 5,900 to 5,100 , a price reduction of 14%; Malaysia was adjusted from 560 to 480 , a price reduction of 14% .
