Generally speaking, for products with weak seasonality, the inventory can refer to the recent data of the same year; for products with strong seasonality, it is recommended to refer to the data of the same period last year.

As a new seller, we can estimate the reference range of the stocking amount for the first shipment based on the sales volume of similar ASINs in the new product period. First, we need to grasp the two core "similar" and "new product period".

"Similar" means to find ASINs that are as similar to your own products as possible, including but not limited to: sites and product functional attributes; and "new product period" is to evaluate the general sales situation of the ASIN in the new product period.

The seller can estimate the approximate reference range of the stocking quantity through the following steps:

The first step is to find the reference category Best Seller Review ; the second step is to find the benchmarking ASINs that are relatively more valuable for reference ; the third step is to locate the earliest listing time ; the fourth step is to extract the number of reviews in the specified time period .

The seller can roughly estimate the seller's sales through the number of competitor product reviews, so as to find a suitable stocking quantity. You can refer to this formula when calculating the stocking volume: estimated sales ≈ number of reviews in a period of time ÷ review rate. At this time, sellers and friends also need to conduct a comprehensive evaluation based on the MOQ and promotional quantity. Remember not to be blindly optimistic, otherwise it is easy to cause excessive stocking and inventory backlog.

Therefore, inventory management is a top priority. Sellers who are FBA sellers should reduce the backlog of inventory, increase the sell-through rate, and repair the products that are not on sale, so as to ensure that the inventory is available for purchase, ensure that the best-selling products are available, and optimize the IPI to more than 400 points. When the index is lower than 400 and the storage capacity is insufficient, it will analyze which goods occupy the existing inventory volume, and focus on taking measures to deal with the inventory that does not produce benefits.
