METI is the abbreviation of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).

METI filing means that Japanese importers report the relevant information of the imported products to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, so that METI can better understand the import source and quality control of products circulating in Japan. Japanese importers must register and declare with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) within one month after purchasing the goods. Only Japanese trading companies registered in Japan can apply for registration with METI.

2. What is PSE certification?

PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification in Japan, which is used to prove that electronic and electrical products have passed the Japanese Electric Appliance and Material Safety Act (Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act, referred to as the Electric Safety Act). Japan's Electric Safety Act stipulates that 457 products have entered the Japanese market. Must pass PSE safety certification, among which, 116 kinds of A (Specified Electrical Appliances and Materials, specific electrical appliances and raw materials) products should obtain the diamond PSE mark, 341 kinds of B (Non-Specified Electrical Appliances and Materials, non-specific electrical appliances) and raw materials) products should obtain the circular PSE mark.
