What would you say if I told you that you can sell new products for free through FBA? You might say I'm full – that's okay.
The point is, it's true! Amazon is now offering limited-time free storage, free liquidation, and free returns processing for new FBA ASINs.
Best of all, if you're brand registered , you're eligible for a 5% rebate on new FBA brand ASIN sales. Pretty cool, right?
It's a great opportunity for brands to test out brand new products without worrying about accumulating storage charges if they don't sell right away.
In this article, we'll cover the benefits of the FBA New Choice program, the eligibility requirements, and how to register your products.
What are the benefits of the FBA New Selection Program?
FBA's new assortment program is designed to make it easier and more cost-effective for Amazon sellers to list products. Not only does this encourage brands to bring new products to market, it also allows sellers to essentially test FBA without immediate worry about additional costs.
For those new to FBA, it's an incredible service that gives sellers access to Amazon's extensive fulfillment network and storage facilities. With FBA, sellers can provide a better customer experience and simplify their business by outsourcing repetitive fulfillment tasks—Amazon will store, pick, pack, and ship your orders, as well as handle customer service and returns processing for you.
While that's all well and good, the fees associated with FBA can add up quickly — especially if your inventory is in storage for a while.
That's where FBA's new selection program comes in. Here's the full list of benefits you can expect, according to Amazon's help page:
After you enroll in the program, you can use fee reduction benefits for an unlimited number of FBA new parent ASINs that you create. This means that if you launch 100 new products each month, they are all eligible for the program.

No monthly storage fee is charged for the first 50 units of each new parent ASIN for 90 days after the first unit is received in the fulfillment center . You can liquidate any of the first 50 units within 180 days of the first received inventory date without liquidation fees.
Amazon's usual FBA fee will be charged for each item shipped after the first 50.
3. Free monthly storage and free liquidation for super large ASINs
No monthly storage fee is charged for the first 30 units of each new parent ASIN for 90 days after the first unit is received in the fulfillment center. You can liquidate any of the first 30 units within 180 days of the first received inventory date without liquidation fees.
Amazon's usual FBA fee will be charged for each item sent after the first 30 units.
4. Additional benefits of clothing and shoes
No monthly storage fee will be charged for the first 100 units of each new standard-sized parent ASIN within 120 days of receipt of the first unit in the fulfillment center. You can liquidate any of the first 100 units within 180 days of the first inventory receipt date without liquidation fees. We will waive the return processing fee for up to 20 pieces per standard size parent ASIN. Returned items must be received at the fulfillment center within 180 days of the first in-stock receipt date. Returned items must be received at the fulfillment center within 180 days of the first in-stock receipt date.
One of the biggest benefits here is that you can register as many new FBA products as you want! Amazon has limited this program to just 500 new FBA products in the past (which is still a lot). If your brand is launching new products every month, this is a cost-effective way to bring them to market and test sales.
