The new German VAT law requires that the sales partner's company name and tax address on the "Tax Settings" page of Seller Central must match the data in the German Federal Central Tax Office's database. That is, the company name and address corresponding to the VAT ID you upload must be consistent with the company name and address on the Amazon seller platform. Please note: From March 1, 2023, sellers who have not completed compliance operations beyond the 60-day grace period will have their sales authority on the German site or the Fulfillment by Amazon function (FBA) on the German site will be restricted.
Where can I see my business name/tax address?
You should compare the name and address shown on the VAT Registration Confirmation (Bescheid über die Erteilung einer Umsatzsteuer-Identifikationsnummer) received from the German tax authorities with the information you provided on Seller Central.
For sellers whose store has been blocked due to the German address problem recently, don’t panic, just click Confirm to unblock it, but seller friends must correct the German address to make it consistent, otherwise the store will still be closed due to the address problem in the future. How to fix your address will be explained in detail below.
Where should I fix the problem?
1. If you find wrong information in the VAT confirmation:
You can contact the appropriate German tax authority or your tax agent to provide updated information. After amending details, please attach confirmation from the tax authority and send via de-vat-number-appeals@ rir_h=qnhi Provide relevant supporting documents (English is recommended). If your modification is in progress and has not yet taken effect, you can also report the current modification progress to the Amazon team to avoid affecting your account status.
2. If you find an error message in Amazon Seller Central:
You can update your details by following the instructions below. Note that updating your company and contact information from the Identity information page may trigger an account verification process, which may require further documentation. You can refer to this help page: /uho?qrir_h=qnhicfocw?gocGFG9NL A9MAAPTPWK for more details on keeping account details up to date.
