Amazon partners with Infinium to use low-carbon electric fuels in transportation fleets
Amazon (AMZN.US) signed a deal with renewable fuel technology company Infinium to use Infinium's ultra-low-carbon electric fuels to power transportation fleets starting in 2023. Infinium will initially provide ample electric fuel to travel nearly 5 million miles per year.
Amazon plans to first use such fuels in trucks in its mid-range fleet in Southern California.
The agreement represents another step in Amazon's commitment to shift its transportation network from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
