Returns must be the last thing Amazon sellers want to encounter, right? Many Amazon buyers return items for no apparent reason, which can confuse you. Give him a return and we'll lose money again, and if we don't return it, we'll offend the buyer, which is really embarrassing. Since some novice sellers don't know how to deal with this situation, let's share with sellers how to deal with the return problem.
How sellers handle return requests. On Seller Central, click Orders – Manage Returns to view and process return requests from buyers.
Depending on the status of the return request, three actions are available:
1. How do I approve a return request?
If you accept the buyer's return request, click the Approve Return Request button. After the buyer's return request is approved, the system will email the buyer the seller's return address and return instructions.
PS: This step only allows the buyer to send the return to you, the payment will not be automatically refunded to the buyer. Additionally, approving return requests on the Manage Returns page will not impact seller performance.
2. How to close the return request?
If you do not accept a buyer's return request, it is recommended to reach an agreement with the buyer before clicking the Close Request button. After a seller submits a closure request, Amazon will send an email notification to the buyer, including the reason for the closure request.
PS: The buyer can cancel the return application, and the seller can only close the application. If the buyer does not return or return the item, the seller does not need to take any action on the approved return request.
3. How to refund?
If you have received a buyer return or allowed the buyer to keep the item, click the Refund button to refund.
