Recently, Amazon Japan issued an announcement stating that in view of the latest amendments to Japanese regulations on anti-fall products, Amazon requires sellers on Japanese sites to submit documents related to anti-fall equipment so that the relevant products that have been put on the shelves and will be put on the shelves can be officially reviewed whether they meet the new requirements. As required by law, the following is the content of the announcement:
With the revision of Article 13, Paragraph 3, Item 28 of the "Industrial Safety and Health Law Enforcement Decree", the description of "safety belt" used to prevent the danger of falling in the construction industry and other high-altitude operations has been changed to "fall prevention equipment". After the revision, only "Human Belt (Single Suspension)" and "Suspender (Single Suspension)" belts will be recognized as "Fall Protection Equipment" and will need to comply with the revised regulations. With the end of the transitional period, Amazon Japan has banned the sale of any fall arrest devices that do not comply with the revised law.
Based on this revision of the law, Amazon will require sellers to submit product testing reports and other documents to confirm whether the anti-fall products sold by sellers on Amazon Japan meet the requirements of the revised law.
Fall arrest equipment subject to document review includes safety belts, torso belts, buckles, lanyards, carabiners, hooks and other connectors, shock absorbers and other components.
The detailed information requirements of the documents to be submitted are as follows:
Amazon store name;
Seller ID; email address registered with Amazon; phone number; ASIN listings that are or will be listed;
Documentation:
Test report of "Standards for Fall Prevention Equipment";
For photos of what is shown on products such as seat belts, torso belts and shock absorbers (including conditions such as fall protection distance and shock load).
Note: Depending on the documentation submitted by the seller, Amazon may require sellers to submit additional documents. The documents submitted by the seller must ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the information. If the above representations and warranties are violated, the seller's account may be suspended.
