Heavy! One SKU sells to 16 countries, and Amazon expands its European footprint!

Recently, Amazon’s global store opening announced that as Prime Day is approaching, in order to help sellers operate, the 2022 European station export plan has been launched. Currently, one SKU can be directly sold to 16 European countries.

Previously, Amazon opened its European sites to Chinese sellers in 8 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Poland.

Today, in addition to the existing 8 European countries, sellers can also sell their products to 8 more European countries through the Amazon Europe export plan, including Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, and the Czech Republic.

It is worth noting that the threshold and cost of this plan are both low, which also shows Amazon's determination to continue to expand the European market.

Specifically, if an Amazon seller has any account in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands), and the account status is normal, they can activate the European export plan on the seller platform.

Sellers do not pay Amazon any additional fees for this program, other than site sales commissions.

Amazon also matches the recommended export countries for these 6 sites based on consumer purchasing habits, language preferences, and the geographic location of the exporting countries, while supporting self-fulfillment (MFN) and Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA).

Among them, FBA sellers do not need to pay additional fees, and Amazon will be responsible for fulfilling the order to the destination and handling export matters including customer service and returns.

In fact, in preparation for Prime Day this year, Amazon Europe has made a lot of efforts in terms of logistics.

Earlier, in order to encourage sellers to use FBA services , Amazon Europe launched a new ASIN to provide free storage, free removal and free return processing benefits, making it easier for sellers to list products and reduce operating costs.

European e-commerce is in a booming stage, and entry means opportunities.

Data shows that as of April this year, the Internet penetration rate in all regions of Europe was higher than 85% ; the European online shopping population exceeded 500 million, which is equivalent to the combined population of the United States and Japan.

It is estimated that by 2024, European e-commerce sales will reach 550.8 billion US dollars, and Amazon Europe is expected to have more than 50 logistics operation centers.

As the adverse reaction of consumers' over-reliance on online shopping during the epidemic gradually dissipated, the expansion of the European business map is urgent.
