Do I need to register for a VAT number in Belgium?

Different situations have different requirements, please take a seat according to the number:

1) If your company is established outside the EU (eg: China), whether you use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service or self-fulfillment (MFN), because Belgium does not currently have an Amazon FBA warehouse, unless you store your goods in Locally in Belgium, there is currently no need to register a VAT number in Belgium;

2) If your company is established in the EU and you do not stock goods in Belgium, you may need to register if your sales exceed the new EU-wide distance selling threshold of €10,000 (shipping from another EU country) Local VAT number unless you have selected One Stop Shop in the EU eCommerce VAT package.

Do I need to pay VAT on my goods?

It is the responsibility of each Amazon Selling Partner to ensure its VAT compliance. I already have a joint European account. Can I use the Create International Product Information ( BIL) shortcut tool to sell listings to Belgium with one click?

Great idea, of course! Amazon will enable the BIL tool for you in Seller Central, at which point you will be able to list eligible existing products in your main marketplace on .be, saving you valuable time. It is recommended that you use Germany or France as the source mall for product synchronization !

Please know:

The function of establishing international product information ( BIL) is currently not available on the Belgian site. You can first go to Seller Central > Inventory > Global Sales , establish an international product information module and add .be as the target mall to establish an association. When this function takes effect on the Belgian site, the Listing and its corresponding price information in your source mall will be automatically automatically Sync to Belgian site.

Note that your item prices are expressed in Euros on .be.

Currently , BIL is only available to sellers who have joined the Professional Selling Program and sellers with corresponding joint or linked accounts.

What language do I need to use to list on .be?

.be will be available in French, Dutch and English .

For details on whether product information needs to be translated, please refer to the following situations:

1) The item is already in the .be catalog. If your products are automatically synced to .be, you don't need to translate your product information extra!

2) Your item is not yet in the .be catalog. You must provide French product information for each new product, including: EAN, UPC or ISBN code, product name and product description.

How do I list an item if I don't understand French /Dutch?

You can use the Build International Listing ( BIL) tool to sync your listings and prices from your source marketplace to Belgium, and your listings will be automatically translated into French and Dutch and published on .be.
