According to the latest official news, the European Union issued energy efficiency regulations (EU)/340 and (EU)/341 on February 26, 2021, which amended the energy efficiency regulations for many products, including the energy efficiency labeling regulations for electronic displays (EU) )/2013 and Energy Efficiency Requirements Regulation (EU)/2021.
(EU)/340 amends the Regulation (EU)/2013 on Energy Efficiency Labeling of Electronic Displays as follows:
1. The description of point (g) of Article 2 of Chapter 1 has been updated, and the definition of parts and components has been clarified. Electronic displays as parts of end products are not applicable (EU)/2013;
2. Corrected the reference description of the HiNA definition in point 10 of Chapter 2. It used to refer to "Chapter 1 of (EC) No /2008". Chapter 1 is the scope of application, so the referenced chapter number is wrong, but Chapter 2 is Definition, corrected to "Chapter 2 of (EC) No /2008";
3. Deleted the definition of "grade 1 monitor" in point 17 of Chapter 2, which is redundant;
4. Updated the description of point (b) of Article 1 of Chapter 3, and made clearer requirements for the parameters of the product information list in Appendix V, which need to be listed in the public area of the product database;
5. Added two definitions of declared values and guarantee in Appendix I;
6. At the end of Part B of Appendix II, add a statement: the EEI should be calculated by using the declared operating power and viewing area in Table 5 of Appendix VI;
7. At the end of point 10 of Article (f) of Part 2 of Appendix III, add the label description when the electronic display does not support the HDR function, as follows:
