Recently, Amazon issued an announcement about listings: Starting December 1, 2022, new and existing product listings for certain product types must include color name, size name, product description, and category name attributes. Amazon's US, Europe, and Japan stations also released announcements.

Specifically, the attributes for the following product types will be changed from optional to required:

Color Name: Shirts, Sweatshirts, Sweatshirts, Sporting Goods, Pants, Jackets, Swimwear, Pullovers, Vests, Shorts;

Size Name: Shirt, Sweater, Jacket, Pants;

Product Description: Home, Curtains, Carpets, Blankets, Hobbies, Tools, Sporting Goods, Phone Cases, Bedding Sets, Auto Accessories, Health Personal Care, Drink Cups, Home Beds & Baths, Power Sports Car Parts, Seeds, Consumers electronic;

Category Name: Backpack.

All new listings for affected product types need to provide a valid value for each of these four attributes, otherwise the product will not be added to the catalog.

YMS just saw the news and thought it would only be implemented from December 1, 2022, but it is not.

Because before the message notification, a red exclamation mark appeared on the listing editing page of several sellers, as shown in the following figure:

Then click to enter the exclamation mark, the system prompts that the required items are not filled in due to the change of the rules. After manually filling in these red prompts, the exclamation mark disappears.

These sellers also consulted Amazon's English customer service. The customer service responded that it is only a red exclamation mark reminder, and the product will not be affected, but if these required items have not been filled on December 1, 2022 If so, the product may be banned.

I believe everyone has encountered the situation that listing is "prohibited from display", which is the following.

Therefore, in order to prevent your products from being affected, you should go to the editing page of the listing to check to see if your products have a red exclamation mark warning sign. If there is a warning sign, you must make up for it as soon as possible.
