Amazon , which is increasingly comprehensive and convenient, is partnering with specific stores many homegrown consumers are accustomed to seeing in their local malls to offer same-day Prime delivery. For now, this only applies to orders from PacSun, GNC, Superdry, and Diesel, but Amazon says it's working to offer same-day delivery from Sur La Table and 100% Pure "in the coming months."
The service is currently limited to certain cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Miami, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas. For shoppers in these cities, Amazon says you can now browse and order select items from local mall stores on Amazon's website.
Although Amazon's store selection seems to be a bit small . But it might come in handy if you need something like vitamins or a pair of jeans in a pinch and you do n't have time to go to the mall . While it may seem counterintuitive for Amazon to offer products to other stores, it could be an attempt by the e-commerce giant to build on its growing fulfillment business. Online stores already give customers the option to buy products with Prime deals, and now Amazon is letting brick-and-mortar stores tie in its services to attract more buyers.
Before Amazon bought Whole Foods, it began offering one-hour delivery in local markets in select cities in 2015 . Its one-hour grocery delivery service now lists Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh in most areas, and deliveries from local stores are more limited.
In addition to same-day delivery, Amazon also offers free same-day pickup for Prime members, at select stores. Non-members can also enjoy free local pickup, but you have to spend at least $25.
Amazon's announcement fits with previous reports that the company plans to pick up and deliver from malls. According to the press release, you can count on "Amazon shipping partners" to pick up and deliver your orders.
"The expansion of Amazon's same-day delivery service to include direct delivery to beloved brands from nearby retail locations is just another way we're giving customers more choice, faster," said Sarah, Amazon's Director of Delivery Experience – Matthew said in a statement. This is undoubtedly another good news for Amazon sellers. Amazon's services will become more and more perfect. Sellers only need to sell with peace of mind, and other after-sales support can be handed over to Amazon!
