Xingtaohui learned that on August 10, Amazon Japan issued a new rule. The announcement says that starting August 18, 2022, the Marketplace Shipping service will simplify the print setup required to print shipping labels.
Marketplace Shipping Service is an Amazon delivery service that allows sellers to deliver orders at preferential shipping rates through logistics companies that cooperate with Amazon. Make Pre-Prime orders weren't available when Amazon initially launched Marketplace delivery. Starting in July 2022, Amazon will extend Marketplace fulfillment to sellers' Pre-Prime orders. Sellers participating in the Seller Pre-Prime program can use Marketplace shipping services to fulfill Seller Pre-Prime orders. Also, sellers need to be aware that this service does not support cash on delivery or fixed delivery orders.
The changes to the service on Amazon Japan this time are mainly to simplify its print settings and simplify the service process.
Specifically, currently, when printing Yamato Transport shipping labels, the magnification and margins need to be set for each browser the seller uses to print. Sellers already using the Marketplace shipping service should reset their scaling and margins to default settings so that shipping labels need to specify the paper orientation and size to print at the correct size. Sellers can now print shipping labels directly without the hassle, simplifying the process.
In addition, Amazon Japan has also updated the return request settings for self-fulfilled sellers.
Self-fulfilling sellers must respond (authorize, close, or contact the buyer) within 24 hours of the buyer's return request, and the seller will receive a return request email in which the seller needs to update the return address. Amazon will send an email to the updated email address with a link to approve, close, or contact the buyer for the return request.
