Canada enacted the Canada Consumer Products Safety Act (CCPSA) on December 15, 2010. Recently, its new Toys Regulations (/2011-17) have replaced the original Dangerous Products (Toys Regulations) Act (CRC, c. 931).
The existing toy bans, restrictions and regulations under Parts I and II in Appendix I of the Hazardous Products (Toys Regulations) Act will also be transferred to the Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act, the new Toys Regulations It has been officially implemented since June 20, 2011.
In Canada, all toys intended for children 14 and under must meet federal safety standards under the Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA)
