


From November 24 to 28 this year is Amazon's annual Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping spree . It is reported that cross – border sellers in India will showcase millions of products to Amazon consumers .
Under Amazon 's Global Sales program, Indian cross-border sellers will launch thousands of new products on Amazon's global sites this year. These products span categories such as Home and Kitchen, Toys, Clothing, Health and Personal Care, Jewelry and Furniture .
Generally speaking , e-commerce sellers in India only experience a surge in sales during Diwali . Bhupen Wakankar , director of global trade at Amazon India , said in an interview: "In the United States, the shopping season has already begun, and Black Friday is the most important shopping event of the year . Our sellers from India can also participate in these events , It’s like participating in a Diwali sale . ”
Previously, Amazon had slashed the platform fee for new cross-border sellers joining Global Sales from $120 ($39.99 per month) to $1 for the first three months . Sellers who join the program between November 7 of this year and May 6 of the following year can take advantage of this limited-time offer.
In addition, Amazon also launched the S END project , a logistics solution that simplifies cross-border shipping for Indian cross-border sellers . Indian sellers can ship packages from India to Amazon's fulfillment centers in the US. Fulfillment centers and shipping models for other countries will also be available soon. Sellers using S END can pre-order, ship, and track shipments from their Amazon Seller Central .
Through the Global Sales program , Indian sellers can display their products to Amazon consumers in more than 200 countries . During the recently concluded Prime Early Access sale, cross-border sellers in India saw a nearly 70% increase in sales . Categories such as toys, home, kitchen, clothing and groceries saw the fastest growth at that event . In the Black Friday Cyber Monday sales event in 2021 , Indian sellers even achieved a sales surge of nearly 2 times in North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa .
This year, Amazon said that the cumulative export value of Indian cross-border sellers has surpassed the $5 billion mark . Since 2015, its Global Sales program has attracted more than 100,000 Indian sellers to join .
