-News Express is fresh and informative-

01. From December 1st!Amazon will force four additional product listing attributes

According to the latest news on the Amazon platform, AMAZON US, European and Japanese stations will require sellers to include color name, size name, product description and category name attributes in their product listings when uploading products from December 1 this year.

The following is the content of the announcement:

Beginning December 1, 2022, new and existing product listings for certain product types must include color name, size name, product description, and department name attributes. This change ensures that your items contain the relevant information your customers need.

Attributes for the following product types will be changed from optional to required:

● Color Names: Shirts, Undershirts, Sporting Goods, Pants, Jackets, Swimwear, Sweaters, Tank Tops, Shorts

● Size Name: Shirt, Sweatshirt, Jacket, Pants

● Product Description: Home, Curtains, Carpets, Blankets, Hobbies, Tools, Sporting Goods, Phone Cases, Mattresses, Auto Accessories, Health Personal Care, Drink Cups, Home Beds & Baths, Power Sports Vehicle Accessories, Plant Feed, Consumers Electronics, Kitchen Tools, Outdoor Living

● Category name: Backpack

New listings for all affected product types require a valid value for each of these four attributes, otherwise the product will not be added to the catalog.

To ensure existing listings for affected product types are not affected, go to Manage Inventory to update attributes now.

02. Vietnam imposes anti-dumping duties of up to 35.2% on some furniture products made in China

In order to protect the domestic furniture manufacturing industry, Vietnam has imposed temporary anti-dumping duties on some Chinese-made furniture products from mid-October.

Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a statement on October 3 saying that from the middle of this month, Vietnam will impose tariffs of 21.4% to 35.2% on some imported table and chair products from China for a period of four months. It is understood that the authorities will impose a 21.4% tariff on chairs, etc., and a 35.2% tax on table products.

03. Australia will implement a comprehensive ban on plastics in November

From November 1, NSW, Australia, will ban the sale of plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery and cotton swabs across the board, and other jurisdictions will follow suit at their own pace.

The NSW ban will also include microbeads in polystyrene food packaging and personal care products. It is reported that since June this year, the use of lightweight plastic bags has been banned in NSW. Businesses selling prohibited items will face fines of up to $55,000, and businesses that continue to knowingly flout the rules will face fines of up to $275,000.

04. Ethiopia: Banning the import of 38 categories of products

The Ethiopian government has banned the import of 38 categories of products, from packaged food, cars and chewing gum, to furniture, chocolate, alcohol, soap and watches, amid a deepening shortage of foreign exchange. The Ethiopian Ministry of Finance has announced a freeze on the issuance of letters of credit for the import of 38 products from October 17, and the ban will continue indefinitely.

The foreign exchange in this country is obviously insufficient. If your product is in the above list, please pay special attention to the risk of collection

05. From November, many countries will hold a general strike

The RMT railway union in the UK has postponed the strike from November 3 to November 9. Workers at the Port of Liverpool's container business will be on strike for two weeks from October 24 to November 7.

France will again usher in a cross-industry national strike by multiple unions on October 27 and November 10, and the demands of this strike are still to raise the minimum wage and link wages to the inflation index.

Employees of Spain's Ryanair and Vueling Airlines plan to start a new round of strikes in the next few days, which are expected to last until January 2023.

The above is the latest information on the recent cross-border e-commerce circle. If you want to know more industry information, please pay attention to Wanliqing's cross-border public account!
