Amazon plans to hire 150,000 people in response to holiday shopping season

Gold Nine Silver Ten is not only the peak sales season expected by domestic e-commerce merchants, but also the year-end peak season expected by Amazon cross-border e-commerce merchants. With the entry into September, the long-awaited holiday festivals of Amazon sellers are coming one after another. Especially this year, to stimulate sales, Amazon launched Prime Day 2.0 for the first time, which is a win-win situation for both the Amazon platform, Amazon sellers, and American buyers.

Before, many sellers were worried that with the serious inflation in Europe and the United States, will it have an impact on this year's holiday season? However, based on the previous sales and the US government's policy of giving money to the masses, this concern is unnecessary. Most importantly, Wuhan Xingqihang learned online that the Wall Street Journal reported on October 7 that Amazon.com Inc. plans to hire 150,000 people as part of its regular annual recruiting campaign to meet the demands of the holiday shopping season.

The company is hiring employees for its U.S. logistics network to sort, pack and distribute products. Amazon said it will be hiring for full-time, seasonal and part-time positions.

Amazon is dealing with a tricky year-end shopping season. The company needs staff during the busiest time of the year while adjusting to a slowdown in demand following a surge in online shopping during the coronavirus pandemic.

The company said last week it would raise the average starting salary for front-line warehouse workers to $19 an hour from $18 and invest hundreds of millions of dollars to boost wages and other benefits for delivery drivers. Like last year, Amazon's demand for workers faces a tight labor market.

Judging from these news, Amazon's year-end peak season will be a big carnival season. Although inflation will have a certain impact on European and American buyers, but life continues, festivals still have to be celebrated, plus government money, etc., I believe these impacts are minimal.
