New news from Amazon!New logistics service will be launched

On September 1, Amazon officially issued a press release announcing that it is launching a new fulfillment solution for sellers, Amazon Warehousing and Fulfillment (AWD), enabling sellers to use new, purpose-built logistics facilities for bulk storage and delivery. Automatic delivery. It mainly helps sellers store large amounts of inventory and supports delivery to any location to alleviate tight supply chain issues and help sellers to better grow and manage their business while slashing costs.

Amazon said sellers can start using the new service, called Amazon Warehousing and Fulfillment ( AWD ) , starting in 2023 for wholesale customers or brick-and-mortar stores. The pay-as-you-go service will also help sellers slash logistics costs .

In recent years, global inventory storage and distribution have encountered enormous challenges due to supply chain constraints. For many sellers, the experience and capital costs required to manage logistics and operations such as inventory storage , fulfillment and order fulfillment are increasing. In fact, a recent survey of Amazon sellers in the United States shows that the three biggest pain points for sellers in the upstream warehousing and distribution business are high warehousing prices, complex fee structures, and insufficient warehousing capacity.

AWD offers a simple pay-as-you-go service that relieves sellers from the time-consuming, tedious process of moving inventory from upstream facilities to Amazon fulfillment centers. Now, sellers can integrate their upstream inventory storage operations with the Amazon fulfillment network, ensuring they always have the right amount of inventory at the right time, in the right place, and dramatically reducing storage costs.

Sellers using AWD can also consolidate their global inventory, which they can then view and manage in Seller Central, simplifying their inventory management through inventory pools. By 2023, sellers will be able to use AWD to send their inventory anywhere, including wholesale customers or brick-and-mortar stores.
