1. The cross-border e-commerce market in the first half of 2022 will exceed 7 trillion

Recently, the E-commerce Research Center of Netease released the "2022 (Part 1) China Cross-border E-commerce Market Data Report". The report shows that in the first half of 2022, the scale of China's cross-border e-commerce market will reach 7.1 trillion yuan, and the market size is expected to reach 15.7 trillion yuan in 2022.

2. Amazon's US station restricts sellers' replenishment due to a large reduction in inventory

Some sellers reported that they received Amazon's replenishment limit emails. In order to prepare for the holiday shopping season and ensure timely receipt, storage and delivery of products for all sellers using FBA, Amazon will adjust restocking limits, the email said. About 5% of Amazon sellers will be restricted from restocking after the restocking restrictions are updated. Amazon said it would adjust restocking limits to allow all sellers to store at least four months’ worth of inventory in Fulfillment by Amazon. All sellers using FBA will receive a quota update. After this update, about 5% of FBA sellers will not be able to replenish more products temporarily, because these sellers have already high inventory levels.

3. Amazon customers can submit unpackaged return orders to DHL from October 10th

Beginning October 10, 2022, Amazon customers can submit unpackaged returns to DHL, and the returned products do not require additional shipping boxes, just normal product packaging. In the DHL small bag store, the goods are packed in paper bags and labelled. Instead of printing physical package labels, customers receive an electronic QR code from Amazon that must be presented in a DHL store. It's important to note that not all Amazon products offer unpackaged returns. Amazon will require additional outer packaging for returns if the product is too large or heavy for the shipping bag, or is shock-sensitive or fragile.

4. The Amazon logistics operation process for creating shipments will be fully updated

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) process for creating shipments will be fully updated! Send to Amazon will replace the "Send/Replenish" workflow in the marketplace. Send to Amazon is available now, and it can also be accessed through Shipment Processing Progress. August 31st is the last day customers can create shipments using the Ship/Replenish workflow. 5. Amazon Europe and Japan launch compliance reference tools

Amazon Europe and Japan announced that they have launched compliance reference tools to help sellers manage their compliance obligations and keep abreast of changing compliance requirements. The Compliance Reference Tool provides information on product compliance requirements, such as the import and export regulations of the country where sellers want to ship or sell, and whether a product (such as a toy, baby product, or product containing a lithium battery) Meets product warranty requirements.

Currently this new tool does not include compliance requirements for all products, such as hazmat, chemical or food products. Over the next six months, Amazon will continue to add products with new compliance requirements to the tool, and will update as new categories are added.

6. The country's first Amazon offline service site settled in Nanhu District, Jiaxing

During the event, Amazon's Jiaxing offline service site was officially unveiled, which also means that Amazon's first offline service site in the country has landed in Nanhu District. It is reported that more than 100 cross-border e-commerce companies, foreign trade companies (suppliers), service providers, and "big sellers" companies outside the city participated in the event. In the future, Amazon's Jiaxing offline service site will provide 24-hour service throughout the year. Amazon will send several staff to the site on working days to directly provide offline guidance. On non-working days, Amazon will launch an Amazon official account, which will be available online. Answer business questions.

7. Amazon launches seller storage service to solve supply chain problems

Amazon.com Inc on Wednesday launched a new service to help its sellers store bulk inventory and simplify fulfillment to address supply chain issues. By 2023, sellers will be able to send their inventory to any location, including wholesale customers or brick-and-mortar stores, using a new service called Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD), the online retailer said.
