Amazon issued a notice saying: From August 15th, the British station will officially launch the "automatic removal of inventory" function. This feature has been implemented on the US site before, and the UK site started implementing this feature in August, and it may be implemented on more Amazon sites in the future.

"Automatically remove inventory", as the name implies, means that the platform will automatically remove the seller's inventory. What kind of inventory is removed? From August 15th, the overflow of Amazon UK station is over-aged inventory and idle inventory. The seller can also choose to automatically remove it in the background.

Overaged inventory refers to inventory that has been in Amazon fulfillment centers for more than 365 days and is subject to long-term storage fees.

Idle inventory refers to ASINs that have no sales records for more than half a year and have been stored in Amazon fulfillment centers for more than 180 days.

As long as the above two kinds of inventory exist in the seller's store, Amazon will automatically help the seller to join the "removal plan", and automatically help the seller to clean up every month, without the need for the seller to manually clean up, which can greatly improve the efficiency of the seller. On the one hand, it helps the seller to regain the "large storage capacity", and on the other hand, if the seller forgets, the system will automatically deal with the "redundant inventory".

After sellers have set up automatic removal of available inventory, their eligible inventory will follow the process to create a removal order within one to two weeks after inventory is counted. There is a return address on the [Available Inventory Automatic Settings] page, and if you select Return, the inventory will be returned to the address provided by the seller by default; if there is no return address, and the seller has joined the Amazon Bulk Clearance Program, eligible for automatic clearance Inventory will be automatically cleared through a clearance plan to recover its value.

When the automatic removal feature appears, it can help sellers greatly improve efficiency and understand inventory.
