Amazon children's pajamas CPC certification process, children's clothing CPC certification, children's clothing qualification standards

Children's pajamas are garments in sizes 9 months to 14 that are primarily intended for sleep or sleep-related activities, including girls' pajamas, pajama bottoms, nightgowns, or loungewear. Children's sleepwear does not include diapers, underwear or clothing suitable for infants 9 months and younger.

Children's sleepwear must meet specific flammability requirements. Children's sleepwear must: 1) pass certain flammability tests; or 2) be defined as "Skinny" or "Skinny" in the dimensions specified below.

Tight & Fitted Pajamas

"Skinny" or "skinny" pajamas are designed to fit snugly against the body. These pajamas are not flammable. If ignited, it will not burn easily because there is very little air under the garment to support the combustion. Tights must meet the specific size requirements set forth in 16 CFR Part 1615 (for sizes 9 months to 6X) and 16 CFR Part 1616 (for sizes 7 to 14). If an item meets the specific size requirements in either of the above standards, it is considered a tight or snug fit and does not need to pass the flammability requirements of 16 CFR Part 1615 or Part 1616. Tight sleepwear is still subject to evaluation and meets the flammability requirements set forth in Title 16 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1610.

Tights must have specific labels. Such clothing products must be labeled "close-fitting, non-flammable" on the center of the back. The product must hang a yellow tag with the following information:

Product packaging must also include the yellow label shown above.
