Electric vehicle air pump is a kind of air pump . As the name implies, it is an inflator used in a car. It is an electrical appliance that drives the cylinder piston to work through the operation of the electric drive motor , thereby inflating the tire.
There are many requirements for the certification of electric vehicle air pumps, and the certification requirements for different exporting countries are also different . The following is an example of the US and EU markets:
U.S:
1. FCC certification
FCC certification is a pass for products to enter the American market. Products can only be sold in the American market if they meet the corresponding FCC certification and affix the corresponding logo.
FCC is the English abbreviation of the United States Federal Communications Commission. According to the relevant part of the United States Federal Communications Regulations (CFR 47 part), all electronic products entering the United States need to undergo electromagnetic compatibility certification, that is, FCC certification.
FCC certification is currently divided into two types of FCC SDOC certification and FCC ID certification. What the electric car air pump needs to do to enter the US market is FCC SDOC certification. 2.UL test
Although UL is a non-mandatory certification in the United States, it is mainly the testing and certification of product safety performance.
Electric vehicle air pump test standard : UL1450.
3. California 65 ( CA65 ) test
California Bill 65 prohibits anyone in the course of operating a product from exposing users to substances known to the state of California to be carcinogenic or reproductively toxic without first warning them.
CA 65 applies to almost all consumer products sold in the California market, whether for adults or children, and electric vehicle air pumps also need to comply with this regulation.
EU:
1. CE certification
In the EU market , the "CE" mark is a compulsory certification mark. Whether it is a product produced by an enterprise within the EU or a product produced in other countries, if it is to be circulated in the EU market, the "CE" mark must be affixed to indicate that the product conforms to Basic requirements of the EU Directive on New Approaches to Technical Harmonization and Standardization. This is a mandatory requirement for products under EU law.
The test standards for CE certification application of electric vehicle air pump are as follows:
EMC Electromagnetic Compatibility Test: EN 55014, EN 6100
Among them, if the voltage is between 50-1000V AC , or between 75-1500V DC, then the LVD command is also required.
LVD electrical and electronic safety: EN 60335 2 .
RoHS testing
RoHS certification, also known as environmental protection certification, is mainly used to regulate the material and process standards of electrical and electronic products, making it more conducive to human health and environmental protection. It stipulates the limit values of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, phthalates and other harmful substances in electrical and electronic products. Exceeding the limit will not allow them to enter the EU market. . Electric vehicle air pumps must comply with this regulation when entering the EU market.
