Amazon laser product FDA registration, IEC60825 test report
Definition: Products that use laser energy come in many sizes, shapes, and forms; what they all have in common is a laser, which stores energy from a light source, such as an electric discharge, a chemical reaction, or intense optical illumination, which releases energy in the form of light
Common laser products:
Such as CD, DVD, video recorder, bar code reader, copier, laser pointer, laser cutting machine, etc., among which laser pointer companies do more.
The following is the information that Amazon US station requires customers to provide:
IEC 60825-1 laser class test standard:
1: Class 1 laser products are laser products that are not allowed to exceed the accessible emission limits of Class 1 (see 8.2 and 8.4e) for personnel approaching laser radiation within the corresponding wavelength and emission duration.
2:1M laser products are laser products within the wavelength range of 302.5nm to 4000nm. Class 1 accessible emission limits are not permitted for persons approaching laser radiation at the corresponding wavelength and emission duration (see 8.4e), radiation levels according to 9.2g.
The safety level of lasers is generally divided into four levels:
ClassⅠ: Low output laser (power less than 0.4mW). Basically, it will not cause harm to the eyes, and can guarantee the safety of the design, without special management.
Class II: low-output visible laser (power 0.4mW-1mW), usually lasers below 1mW, can cause dizziness and inability to think, and the symptoms can usually be eliminated by closing the eyes for protection. Do not observe directly in the beam, and do not directly irradiate other people's eyes with a laser less than 1mw, and avoid observing Class II lasers with telescopic equipment.
Class Ⅲ has ⅢA and ⅢB levels: Class ⅢA level is a continuous laser beam of visible light, the output is a laser beam of 1-5mW, avoid observing the I laser beam with a telescopic device, which may increase the risk, the same as Class Ⅱ, do not directly touch the beam Do not directly irradiate other people's eyes with Class ⅢA laser.
Class ⅢB is a 5-500mW continuous laser. It is dangerous to observe directly in the beam. Do not use Class ⅢB laser to directly irradiate other people's eyes, otherwise the danger will be even greater. Class IV is a high-output continuous laser (greater than 500mW), which is higher than the third class. There is a danger of fire, and diffuse reflection is also dangerous, which is especially worth noting. Children should avoid direct viewing of such lasers.
Summary: Class Ⅱ, Class ⅢA, Class ⅢB, and Class Ⅳ products have certain hazards. Please use them under guidance and supervision. Children should pay more attention. Please use them under the supervision of parents or other competent guardians.
