The European Union has issued new regulations on December 05, 2019 (ErP Regulations for Lighting Products (EU)/2020 and Energy Efficiency Labeling Regulations (EU)/2015), and the new regulations have come into effect on December 25, 2019, that is, from From December 25, 2019, you can apply for the ERP of the new regulations. The new regulations will be enforced on September 01, 2020, that is, from September 1, 2020, all products must be applied in accordance with the new regulations. The old regulations EC/2009, EC/2009, EU/2012 and the Energy Efficiency Labelling Regulation EU/2012 expire simultaneously.
The limited data for stroboscopic flicker in the new version of ERP is: For the new version of ERP revision, the requirement for stroboscopic flicker, the original SVM ≤ 0.4, is revised to allow SVM ≤ 0.9 before September 1, 2024. The PST value remains unchanged, or PST ≤ 1.0;
The size of the ERP energy efficiency label was changed from 36×75 to 36x72mm, and the small label remained unchanged at 20x54mm.

New ErP Regulation (EU)/2020 Requirements
Product Range:
1) Light sources, products relying on electrical operation, designed to emit and/or conditioned to emit light satisfying the following optical properties:
2) Independent control device
3) Products containing light sources, and/or independent control devices
Note: If the light source and independent control device in the product cannot be taken out of the product for verification testing, the product as a whole will be identified as a light source.
The main differences between the new ErP EU/2020 Directive and the old Directive:
The scope of application has increased household appliances, furniture and other products with lights;
The calculation of energy efficiency is changed from EEI index back to Ponmax, the factor of color rendering index is increased, and the requirement of energy efficiency is improved;
Add strobe test: SVM, Pst LM;
Increase the power consumption requirements of network control network standby;
Increased requirements for drive energy conversion efficiency;
Switching cycle test, startup time, and warm-up time tests are deleted;
Number of test samples: only 10 light sources and 3 drivers;
The endurance test is 3600 hours, of which the lighting time is 3000 hours. The test time is greatly reduced, but the requirements for the lumen maintenance rate are greatly increased.
The main differences between the new EU/2015 Directive on Energy Efficiency Labelling and the old Directive:
The calculation of energy efficiency level is changed from EEI index to ηTM (lm/W), which is more intuitive;
The division of energy efficiency grades is changed from Class A to Class G;
Higher energy efficiency requirements, such as the previous Class A++ is only equivalent to the current Class E.
