1 Carabiner Definition
A mountaineering lock is a metal ring with a spring-loaded door that is used to quickly and reversibly connect components during rock climbing and mountaineering, and is a key part of a safety system.
Mountaineering locks can be used to secure ropes to equipment, or to connect two or more pieces of equipment together. They are usually made of aluminum or steel. The latches are available in different shapes (D-shaped, asymmetrical D-shaped and oval) and can be either locking or non-locking.

Mountaineering Helmets Regulatory Requirements
1 Definition of mountaineering helmet
Mountaineering helmets are used to protect the user from injury to the user's head during rock climbing. There are two types of climbing helmets available for participation in mountaineering: a hard-shell helmet and a shell-foam helmet.
This policy does not apply to helmets for arboriculture-related work (also known as arboriculture helmets).
hard shell helmet
Hardshell helmets (also known as "suspension helmets" or "hybrid helmets") are similar to traditional covers, but have a super-hard outer shell, usually made of ABS plastic, with a sling suspension system and a thin foam lining.
Shelled foam helmet
Shelled foam helmets are lightweight and typically feature thick layers of impact-resistant foam made of polystyrene or polypropylene, complemented by a thin layer of polycarbonate shell for protection. These helmets dissipate impact forces by passively deforming.
