Another seller who had the same experience posted a message on the forum for help, saying that he had received a video verification notice from Amazon, but the verification time was not reached, and he had no reason to deactivate the account.
So far, the seller has only received one email about video verification in his email and performance notifications. Moreover, the seller's account status is normal, and has not received any documents and notices about the second trial.
At present, a number of stores registered with foreign company information have been blocked, among which the stores with British information are the hardest hit areas. At the same time, some stores registered with domestic data were also blocked, and the reasons for the closure were mostly secondary video verification.
Video authentication is an enhanced security measure that requires sellers to complete additional identity checks in order to be authorized to sell on Amazon.
The entire video verification takes about 20 minutes. If the seller does not make an appointment for a video call with Amazon within 7 days of receiving the email , or does not provide the original during the review period, he will not be eligible to sell products on the Amazon marketplace.
It is understood that this video verification is different from the video verification required when registering a store. This video verification review is more stringent and the pass rate is relatively low.
First of all, sellers have to prepare a lot of materials, mainly supply chain and product information. If they are not provided in time, sales will be suspended. Secondly, authentication can only be performed by a single person, not multiple people. In addition, some sellers who have performed the video verification have reported that the waiting time after the video verification is over is not the 14 days mentioned in the email, but about 30 days.
Most of the accounts that received the second video verification this time were registered from the second half of 21 to 22 , and the accounts that passed the first video verification were the hardest hit areas .
