Similar to previous years, Amazon's standard return window will be temporarily extended in anticipation of customers shopping early for the holidays. This policy includes both seller-fulfilled orders and Amazon-fulfilled orders.

Amazon's 2022 Extended Holiday Returns Policy Requirements: Most items purchased between October 7, 2022 and December 31, 2022 can be returned until January 31, 2023.

While the return window for most orders has been extended, return eligibility for all orders remains the same.

Non-returnable items:

Computers Laptops, Desktops and Kindles

Items classified as hazardous materials or using flammable liquids or gases (contact the manufacturer directly for service, warranty, return and refund information)

Any product missing a serial number or UPC

Downloadable Software Products

Online subscription after visit

Gift Cards (except as required by law)

Prepaid Game Cards (World of Warcraft, Xbox 360 Live, Wii Credits, etc.)

some jewelry orders

Some health and personal care orders

Grocery Products

Open the software

Items with special shipping restrictions

Different return requirements for different categories:


Auto Accessories:

If you purchase a defective automotive product shipped and sold by Amazon and the product is covered by a published manufacturer's warranty, Amazon will honor the warranty. Amazon will either replace the item within the published warranty period or refund the cost of the item.

baby products:

Baby products can be returned within 90 days of receipt.

Gifts purchased from the Baby Registry can be returned within 365 days of receipt.

Unused breast pumps must be returned in their original condition with the factory seal and packaging intact.

If your return is not due to an Amazon error, Amazon will not refund the original shipping fee

Apparel and Accessories:

You can return clothing and accessories within 30 days of the delivery date.

Items in The Drop Collections are eligible for returns, but return shipping will be deducted from your refund because the item was made on demand for you.


Computers and Electronics:

A new desktop, laptop or tablet (excluding Kindle e-readers and Fires) purchased from Amazon that arrives unbooted, arrives in a damaged condition, or is still in an unopened box can be purchased for 30 days.

Amazon may test computers that are returned not powered on upon arrival and charge a customer fee equal to 15% of the product's sale price if the customer misrepresents the condition of the product.

Any returned desktop, laptop or tablet damaged due to customer misuse, missing parts, or in unsellable condition due to customer tampering may result in a higher restocking fee to the customer based on product condition.

New, used, and refurbished products purchased from Marketplace suppliers are subject to each supplier's return policy.

Art Products:

Artwork valued at $35 or more must be returned using trackable shipping. Items over $500 must also be insured.

All product packaging (boxes, etc.) and Certificate of Authenticity must be returned with the shipment.

Any artwork without original documents will be returned.

Returns will not be accepted for any art item that has been damaged or otherwise altered after delivery.

Before sending a fine art return, please photograph the item for your records.

Furniture products:

Furniture items can be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt.

If an item is damaged or defective, Amazon will help you with the problem, or offer a free return or exchange.

Jewelry and Watches:

Jewelry and watch items valued at $35 or more must be returned using trackable shipping.

All product packaging (boxes, instructions, warranty cards, etc.) and authenticity, grading, and identification certificates must be returned with the product.

Any returned item without original documentation will be rejected.

Items that have been resized, damaged or otherwise altered after delivery will not be accepted for return.

Home appliance:

Major appliances can be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt of purchase

On delivery, unpack and check that the item is correct and undamaged. If the item is wrong or damaged, please inform the delivery person and do not accept the delivery. They will help you arrange a free replacement or refund.

If you find an item is damaged or defective after delivery, Amazon will help you fix the problem, or offer a free return or replacement.

Mattress:

You may request a return or refund for any reason within 100 days of receipt of your shipment.

We accept returns of unopened mattresses in their original packaging.

Unboxed, extended, and full-size mattresses are non-returnable, but are eligible for a refund.

TVs can be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt.

Returned TVs must be in brand new condition, in original packaging, with all personal data removed by factory reset.
