


Star sets sail across borders: global e-commerce giant Amazon will invest $100 million in Turkey

Amazon intends to invest $100 million in the first phase to set up its premises in Turkey and hire more than 1,000 employees in engineering, human resources, accounting, operations and information processing (IT). Further recruitment for the customer service and logistics teams will begin in the coming months.
Ahmet Burak Dalolu, Chairman of the Investment Office of the Turkish Presidency, shared his comments on Amazon's investment in Turkey, saying: "This investment is very important for our e-commerce industry, which has Come, our e-commerce industry has gained tremendous momentum, mainly the growing logistics infrastructure under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Amazon entered the Turkish market in September 2018, gaining recognition for Amazon Prime and Prime Video at local prices in just two years. Since then, the world's leading e-commerce brand has maintained a steady growth rate.
