Amazon Australia has announced that it will offer free same-day delivery to Prime members in Melbourne and Sydney, and Prime users in both regions will be able to receive their items the same day or the next morning after placing an order. E-commerce in Germany was affected by weak consumer sentiment in the first half of the year, with e-commerce revenue from goods falling by 9.6% in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the same period a year earlier, new data on German e-commerce shows. Total sales in the industry were still 8% higher than in the second quarter of 2020 and 25.8% higher than in 2019, the survey showed.

Dutch fashion e-commerce platform Otrium reported a loss of 50 million euros in the past year, much higher than the 8.4 million euro loss in fiscal 2020. The loss was largely due to the company's increased expansion efforts and stock appreciation rights over the past year. Otrium sells mainly to buyers in Western and Central Europe, and is especially known for selling excess inventory from high-end brands such as G-star and Puma.
