Children's bicycle helmet

A bicycle helmet refers to a headgear that is sold on the market, or implied by marketing or promotion, and is used to protect the head from injury while riding a bicycle. Bicycle helmets designed or sold primarily for children 12 years of age or younger are considered children's products under the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Act and are subject to this policy.

This policy does not apply to regular bicycle helmets or bicycle helmets for adults.

Children's Ski and Snowboard Helmets

Helmets for skis and snowboards are specially designed and manufactured for skis and snowboards. Ski and snowboard helmets designed or sold primarily for children 12 years of age or younger are considered children's products under the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Act and are subject to this policy.

This policy does not apply to regular or adult ski and snowboard helmets.

According to Amazon's policy, when you list all bicycle, ski, and snowboard helmets, you must indicate the intended age or age range of the helmet on the product detail page . and comply with the following specific regulations or standards:

Children's bicycle helmet standards:

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (lead); and

Section 14(a)(5) of the Consumer Product Safety Act (tracking labels); and

16 CFR Part 1203 (Bicycle Helmets Safety Standards); and

16 CFR Part 1501 (Small Parts Testing*) (if applicable); and

16 CFR 1,500.19 and 16 CFR 1,500.20 (Small Parts Labeling**), as applicable; and

ASTM F1898 (Standard for Non-motorized Wheelchair Helmets for Infants); or

ASTM F1447 (Standard for Recreational Bicycle or Roller Skating Helmets); or

Snell B-90A; or

Snell B-95

Standard for children's ski and snowboard helmets :

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (lead); and

Section 14(a)(5) of the Consumer Product Safety Act (tracking labels); and

16 CFR Part 1501 (Small Parts Testing*) (if applicable); and

16 CFR 1,500.19 and 16 CFR 1,500.20 (Small Parts Labeling**), as applicable; and

ASTM F2040 (Standard for Snow Recreational Sports Helmets); or

Canadian Standards Association Z263.1 (Canadian Standard for Helmets for Alpine Recreational Skis and Snowboards); or

Snell RS-98; or

Snell S-98

NOTE: *Applies only to helmets designed, sold or marketed to children under 3 years of age.

**Only for helmets that contain small parts and are designed, sold or marketed for children three to six years old.

Your business name (if applicable) and seller number

Your contact information: email address and phone number

List of all your published bike, ski and snowboard helmets for kids

Product images and product packaging images (if applicable) of all children's bicycle, ski, and snowboard helmets that you post.Images must include all sides of the product and product packaging for our review

Product pictures or test reports demonstrating compliance with mandatory tracking label requirements (CPS 14(a)(5))

Product pictures or test reports as evidence of compliance with warning and hazard labels (if applicable)

Product images or test reports that certify only that children's bicycle helmets meet the mandatory description, certification, and labeling requirements ( 16 CFR Part 1203.6 and 16 CFR Part 1203.34)

Product image or test report demonstrating compliance with small parts labelling requirements ( 16 CFR Part 1,500.19) – only for helmets containing small parts designed, sold, or marketed for children three to six years old .

Detail page warning for compliance with small parts labelling requirements ( 16 CFR Part 1,500.20) – only applies to helmets containing small parts that are designed, sold or marketed to children three to six years old

All product descriptions and brochures for all your children's bicycle, ski and snowboard helmets

Your issued Children's Product Certificate (CPC) for all children's bicycle, ski and snowboard helmets

A test report from a CPSC-certified laboratory confirming that each item has been tested and complies with the above regulations and standards .
